The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recently released the Veteran's Field Guide, a document that explains which veteran services will be impacted in the event of a federal government shutdown. The guide lists the medical clinics and facilities that will remain open and operational during a shutdown, as well as the phone numbers that will be available for veterans needing assistance. Certain veteran call centers and hotlines WILL NOT be operating in case of a shutdown, and those numbers are listed as well.
